The 787 At DCA

The Boeing 787 Dream Tour hit Washington, D.C. this week–DCA, to be precise. Several AAAE staffers, including hopeless airplane geeks Greg Mamary and Scott Boeser, were among those lucky enough to get up close and personal with N787BX this morning. Lucky for the rest of us, they remembered to take a few pictures. Enjoy.

Discovery Over D.C.

Space Shuttle Discovery made its way to its permanent home at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center at Washington Dulles International Airport this morning, hitching a ride from Cape Canaveral to Northern Virginia on a modified Boeing 747. The flight path included fly-bys at both ends of the trip.

AAAE VP-ANTN special projects and part-time staff photographer Jim Martin was one of thousands in the D.C. area who ventured out to see Discovery, and thankfully, he had his camera along. Below is a sampling of his shots.
